TERMS & CONDITIONS – THE FRIENDS CLUB

1. Scope

These Terms and Conditions apply to all registrations, ticket purchases and participation in events organised by The Friends Club.

By purchasing a ticket, registering for or attending an event, participants agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Our Events

The Friends Club organises social events and experiences designed to create opportunities for people to meet and connect in real life.

We currently offer two types of events:

Women Only events: hosted and guided events for women to meet other women.
Poodle Parents meetups: casual meetups for Poodle Mums & Dads to meet other Poodle parents and bring their Poodles along.

The specific date, time, location, programme and inclusions are stated on the respective event page.

We may make reasonable changes to the programme, location or format where necessary for organisational, safety or other legitimate reasons.

3. Age & Participation

Unless otherwise stated on the event page, our events are open to adults aged 20 and over.

Participants are responsible for ensuring that they meet the participation requirements stated for the respective event.

We reserve the right to refuse or end participation where this is necessary for capacity, safety, organisational or conduct-related reasons, subject to applicable law.

4. Booking & Contract

A binding contract is formed once a ticket has been successfully purchased or a registration has been confirmed.

Tickets are subject to availability and are generally sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

5. Prices & Payment

Ticket prices are stated on the respective event page and include any applicable taxes and fees as indicated at checkout.

Payment may be processed through external booking or payment providers. Their respective terms and conditions may also apply.

The Friends Club does not store payment details such as credit card information where these are processed directly by the external payment provider.

6. Tickets, Transfers & Cancellations

Tickets are generally non-refundable.

Ticket transfers are permitted if requested before the event. The Friends Club must be informed so that the booking details can be updated.

For cancellations made more than 24 hours before the event, we may offer a transfer to another event or a credit on a case-by-case basis, particularly where the vacant spot can be filled by another participant.

For cancellations made less than 24 hours before the event or in the case of a no-show, no refund or credit will generally be provided.

Any event-specific cancellation conditions stated during booking take precedence where applicable.

7. Event Cancellation or Changes by The Friends Club

We reserve the right to cancel, postpone, reschedule or reasonably modify an event where necessary, including for organisational reasons, insufficient participation, safety concerns or force majeure.

If we cancel an event, participants will be informed as soon as reasonably possible and will receive either a refund of the ticket price paid or, where offered and agreed, participation in a replacement event.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, no further compensation is owed for additional costs or losses resulting from an event cancellation or change.

8. Participation & Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to behave respectfully, appropriately and safely towards other participants, hosts, staff and third parties.

Harassment, discrimination, threatening behaviour, inappropriate conduct or behaviour that compromises the safety or comfort of others is not tolerated.

The Friends Club reserves the right to exclude a participant from an event where their behaviour is inappropriate, disruptive or unsafe. In such cases, the ticket will generally not be refunded.

9. Poodle Parents Events

Poodle Parents events are for participants who attend with their own Poodle.

Participants are responsible for their own dog at all times, including its behaviour, supervision and wellbeing.

Dogs must be appropriately controlled and handled in accordance with applicable rules and the requirements of the event location.

Participants are responsible for any damage or injury caused by their dog to the extent required by applicable law.

The Friends Club may ask a participant to leave an event if a dog poses a safety risk or is unable to participate appropriately. In such cases, no refund will generally be provided.

10. Personal Responsibility & Liability

Participation in our events is voluntary and at the participant’s own responsibility.

Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings, health, safety and behaviour during the event.

The Friends Club is not responsible for the actions, statements, interactions or relationships of other participants.

Any exclusion or limitation of liability applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

11. Photos & Videos

Photos and videos may be taken at our events for communication, documentation and marketing purposes, including on our website and social media.

Participants will be informed about photography and filming at the event. Where consent is required for publication, it will be obtained in an appropriate manner.

Participants who do not wish to appear in photos or videos may inform the host or The Friends Club at any time. We will respect applicable objections and consent withdrawals.

12. Data Protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected, used, stored and disclosed in connection with our website, bookings and events.

13. Applicable Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Swiss law, subject to any mandatory statutory provisions that may apply.

Any applicable place of jurisdiction shall be determined in accordance with the mandatory provisions of Swiss law.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.

The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be replaced or interpreted in a manner that comes as close as legally possible to the original purpose of the provision.
